Ledbetter

Ledbetter

$8.00

The dog wakes you up on a cold, damp, gray winter
morning. He needs to go out. You make your cup of
coffee and reach for something woolly and oversized.
Your guy’s pullover is the nearest thing, but the arms
are too long, and the hem hits you at just the wrong
spot. Then you see Ledbetter, and you know – this is
just the thing.

Using a heavy worsted or aran weight yarn, the pullover is worked from bottom up, beginning with separate front and back split hems worked back and forth in rows. The body is then joined and worked in the round to the armholes. Upper front and back are worked separately, in rows, to the shoulders, which are shaped using short rows. Sleeves are knitted in the round from the cuff up. Stitches are picked up around the neck and worked for the turtleneck.

The pattern stitch is both written and charted.
